****We have been experiencing some technical difficulties so we are catching up on posting.****
Dina:
Setbacks. They happen. What is important is how you move through it and keep the momentum.
I was told by my chiropractor that doing the kettlebell class was not a good idea. I have been rehabbing a 2 month old lower back (sacral) injury and although I absolutely love Kelly’s kettlebell class (local peeps, you NEED to try it), the movements in the class were not good for the healing process. I am disappointed to say the least.
So we change. We adapt. We adjust. And I am good with all of that. But there is definitely a lingering issue of what I used to be compared to what I am. This is where some feel the slippery slope. “Why should I continue?” “I will never be as strong or as thin or as athletic as I used to be!” This is not a slope I am even willing to LOOK down, never mind slide head first.
Kettlebells: out. FOR NOW. Pilates: in.
Nocturnal eating: out. FOR GOOD. Sleepy Time Tea and maybe 3mg of melatonin: in. But I am still going to have a conversation with Kelly about it. Sometimes it’s like I am sleep eating. It had been weeks since it happened before this past week. Stress? The change in the caloric intake? It could be any number of things…
Moments of defeat are followed by hours of victory. If you work to make it happen.
"Nothing to it but to Do it!"
Kelly:
In the moment a setback is justified and easy, in the future a setback is self–made guilt and a hard to reverse. Manifest and visualize your moments and your future. Day 7 hurry up and get here.
